Employment

Executive Assistant — Timpanogos Hiking Co.
Part-time, in-person (Provo, Utah) — trial period with path to full-time role in 2027

About the Role

Timpanogos Hiking Co. ("Escape the Noise") is a fast-growing Utah outdoor brand with a physical store and a loyal, growing following. We're looking for a highly capable, dynamic, hard-working right hand to the CEO — someone who can help run our store and team with leadership, organization, and become the reliable "front door" for the business as it scales.

We are looking for someone who wants to be here long term and help us build something incredible. This is a rare kind of role. You'll start part-time as a trial to make sure it's the right mutual fit — with a clear path to a full-time position in 2027 for the right person.

Why This Role

This is a true ground-floor opportunity with a brand that's building real momentum. Timpanogos Hiking Co. is built around helping people escape the noise and reconnect and that mission shows up in our culture and our community, not just our marketing. You'll get to build something meaningful alongside a founder who's invested in your growth, join early, and grow as the business grows.

What You'll Do

  • Help CEO with day-to-day operational tasks. Direct staff, handle day-to-day decisions, and keep operations running smoothly and efficiently (POS and daily operations are trainable; all staff learn this).

  • Report/coordinate with CEO daily.

  • Oversee part-time staff. Schedules, accountability, onboarding new hires, and being the first line for staff issues.

  • Be the founder's gatekeeper. First point of contact for anyone trying to reach the founder — filter, triage, and handle what doesn't need their direct attention.

  • Help the CEO with organization, schedule, and correspondence.

  • Help fine-tune internal systems — fulfillment, budgets, and SOPs — as the business scales.

  • Help handle logistics for events, trade shows (like TGA), and store needs.

Who You Are

  • Highly organized with strong follow-through — nothing falls through the cracks on your watch

  • A natural leader people want to be directed by — comfortable holding a team accountable, while maintaining our culture

  • A fast learner, comfortable picking up new systems, including Shopify, Redo, and AI (Claude, ChatGPT, etc)

  • A true "Swiss army knife" — able to handle a lot of different things while keeping the bigger picture in view

  • Looking for a long-term role and excited to grow with a small, fast-growing brand — not just take a job

  • Drawn to mission-driven work and genuinely energized by being part of a tight-knit team and community

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Prior business and/or administrative experience preferred

Compensation & Growth

  • $14–15/hour to start, 29 hours/week (trial period)

  • Clear path to a full-time role in 2027 for the right fit

  • Raises and expanded responsibility as trust and business growth build

  • This starting rate reflects the trial period. Pay and scope grow quickly for the right person

Fulfillment Specialist — Timpanogos Hiking Co.
Part-time, in-person at our physical store (Utah) — potential to grow into a bigger role

About the Role

Timpanogos Hiking Co. ("Escape the Noise") is a fast-growing Utah outdoor brand built around helping people reconnect with nature — and with each other. We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Fulfillment Specialist to join our team and help make sure every order that goes out the door is accurate, fast, and represents our brand well.

You'll be trained directly by our current fulfillment coordinator, so no prior experience is required — just a strong work ethic and attention to detail. This role is based at our physical store, with the possibility of moving to a dedicated warehouse space in early 2027 as we grow.

What You'll Do

  • Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders
  • Fold and prepare apparel and product for shipment
  • Pick up inventory and lift boxes as part of weekly fulfillment work
  • Keep the fulfillment area organized and running efficiently
  • Maintain consistent quality and speed, even during busy periods
  • Follow processes closely and flag issues before they become problems

Who You Are

  • Dependable and accountable — you show up, and you follow through
  • Detail-oriented, with a low tolerance for mistakes
  • A fast learner who picks up new systems and processes quickly
  • Comfortable with hands-on, physical work — able to lift boxes and move inventory
  • Looking for a long-term role — someone who wants to grow with the business, not just fill a temp gap

Why This Role

This is a ground-floor opportunity with a brand building real momentum in Utah. Strong performers have room to grow into bigger roles — including potentially into our future warehouse operation in 2027 — as the business scales.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry boxes and inventory (please specify weight range, e.g., up to 20–30 lbs)
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods during shifts

Compensation

  • $12–13/hour to start, 20 hours/week
  • Potential to grow into a bigger role and more hours as you prove yourself
