2026 Timpanogos Hiking Challenge

The 2026 Timpanogos Hiking Challenge is officially underway!

All badges are free. The bigger purpose of the Timpanogos Hiking Challenge is physical and mental health. The past decade has seen an unprecedented decline in mental health. Hiking is a remarkably great antidote to this trend with all kinds of proven benefits. We want to inspire people to escape the noise, discover (or re-experience) amazing places, challenge themselves, and reconnect with what matters.

For year 4, we have 15 badges total: 7 peaks for our GOAT CHALLENGE, and 8 destinations for our ESCAPE THE NOISE CHALLENGE. You can find the full list below. 

For the first time, we will be giving out free shirts to the first 300 people to complete either challenge. These shirts are being donated by SLC Activewear.

Trailhead Strategies Group, which supports veterans and outdoor nonprofits through consulting, resources, and partnerships to build stronger communities, particularly focused on mental health for veterans. 

Badges for the Escape the Noise and GOAT Challenges will be available in our store beginning late February until we run out!

"Give Back" badges will be available exclusively at Pando Refitters, just across the street from us. 

The rules are simple: 1) take a pic at peak/location, 2) tag @timpanogoshiking and 3) come pick up in our store!
